Homecoming Weekend
Woods Cross has their Homecoming Game this weekend. I will be in attendance. I have been craving Chinese food (Wok Lin) for the majority of the time I have been down here. I would love to make an event out of it. I will be leaving sometime Saturday so it could even be an early lunch. Spaghetti Factory could also be a lovely alternative. These are just some ideas for the return of the Princess...
I am SO Generous
The hole that looks like it could be the nose of the smiley
face is the injection site. The smiley face was actually used to
mark my vein. Success on the first try.

That is my elbow with some cute pink medical tape. I donated blood today. It was not an unpleasant experience. I feel better about doing some good on campus today. I haven't gotten to the light-headed feeling yet. Hopefully it doesn't come. I've had a lot more water than I normally do which is making my bladder a little uncomfortable. We finally established a cleaning schedule. I clean the kitchen on Tuesdays. It was decided in our "family" meeting last night. Another subject that was discussed was the hallway. The posters are now gone and Marylin is back in the kitchen. I am a happy camper.

Not a fan...
We decided as an apartment it would be fun to decorate the place a bit. Our first addition was a poster of Marilyn Monroe. Very glamorous. I though it was fine hanging in our kitchen. Made the place feel a little less like a jail cell. Today one of the roomies took the initiative to decorate. Here is where the problems come. She moved the Marylin poster into the hallway where it would join her collection. The biggest problem, a rather large, ugly, flag. It's not a state flag, country flag, or school flag. If only I were so lucky. It's a weird karate flag. There is not a word of English on the entire thing. It might not be so bad if it weren't the first thing a visitor sees upon entering our place. The next problem comes from a big poster of the moon. It's ugly. It has all sorts of weirdo diagrams on it and is not a romantic version of the moon at all. The last poster is some weird fairytale nonsense. It looks like you could find it at the gift shop at the Shakespearean Festival but their posters tend to be a bit cooler. A lot cooler actually. I am mostly disturbed by these additional decorations because they shrink the feel of the hallway. No posters= a non-claustophobic feel. Posters= the most uncomfortable place to be on the entire campus. And they are just no good. Any suggestions on how I can get them removed?

MAcc...Pry Not
Today in accounting we had a supplemental lecture given by our professor. There are 7 more of them and will be taught by well established business professionals. I submitted the paper last night and took the quiz about 5 minutes. 4/5. The last quiz I got, which I think I mentioned before, was a 3/5. Maybe this whole accounting thing isn't for me.

I thought I was doing so well
Right now I am sitting in my accounting class and it's an optional review session. I wanted to come to it because I only got 3/5 on my second quiz. Unfortunately this review is for the lesson I got a 5/5 on. It's still helpful but not quite what I was looking for. By Thursday at noon I have to have a 400-600 word summary of some pre-lecture reading assignments. Another quiz is due Friday by midnight and there is a post lecture quiz due also. At 2:00 today I think I will be going to a review for American Heritage. They offer a lot of help for all my classes which I hope to take advantage of. I really want to do better here than I did in high school.

Celebrity Citing!
Not that she's really a big deal anymore, but Elizabeth Smart works at the Wells Fargo in the book store. I wonder if she remembers that we got our wisdom teeth out at the same place...

If you were impressed before...
So I had a divine thought as I was awake way too late last night. As you can see, the lamp is now much more stable. I realized that the shelf supports and the lamp have about the same curvature, so why not use my twisty ties to hold it up that way? It was definitely divine inspiration that gave me this marvelous idea and because of it, the lamp has no problems staying 100% erect.

It's a sad day...
So I've got this lamp. But it doesn't really do me a whole lot of good. You'll see what I mean from the picture I have posted. I bought it because it has a small base and wouldn't take up that much space. Obviously I didn't think it through too well...thanks IKEA. I've got it finagled to my wall with some double sided foam tape and some twisty ties. It still manages to come off the wall a little bit...

BOO YA!
I just finished taking my first accounting lesson quiz. I studied very hard by my standards and got 5/5! I was ecstatic! I'm on my way to another class so I'll keep this updated later.

Brand New!
Hey Everyone! I've been in Provo for about a week now and I am enjoying this brand new experience. I have 5 roommates from across the U.S. I am the only one from Utah. My immediate roomy is from D.C. and her name is Taylor. There tend to be Karacanes in our room and surprisingly it's not my half. Unknown to myself, I have turned into a clean freak here. I am usually the only one that wipes off the counters and table and sweeps the floor. I'm currently holding an experiment to see how long it takes anyone else to do any of the above mentioned chores. Currently we're pushing 24+ hours. My clean freakness does not follow me home unfortunately. My class schedule should be challenging. Accounting 200 will be my number 1 priority and hardest curriculum. A close second will probably be American Herritage taught by Elder Holland's son, Professor Holland. I'm taking a 1 credit Political Science class one day a week with no homework. It's pass/fail based on attendance and you can miss twice. The main reason I'm taking this class is becuase of the teacher's hair. You could pop it like a balloon it's so big. I'll work on getting a picture. I enjoy my Book of Mormon class and Biology should be pretty fun. The professor told us to sell our books back because we'll do fine without it. It's his first year here. I'm on my way to class now so I'll work on updating this periodically. Much Love, Liz!
